Gingerbread Reindeer
Food Fun… Gingerbread Reindeer
These creative Gingerbread Reindeer biscuits are cut out using standard gingerbread man cutters turned upside down!
Preheat your oven to 190C/Gas mark 5.
Mix 350g of plain flour, 2 tsp ground ginger or mixed spice and 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda. Rub in 100g of butter then stir in 175g of soft light brown sugar, 4 tbsp golden syrup and 1 egg to make a firm dough.
Encourage your children to wash their hands.
Older children can roll this out to about 5mm thick and cut out their reindeer.
Space the biscuits on a lined tray and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden. Leave to firm before placing on a wire rack to cool.
Once cooled, enjoy decorating your reindeer!
