Broccoli Cheese Bites

Children love to cook. It’s creative and there’s some tasty broccoli cheese bites to eat at the end of it. As you cook, chat about healthy eating and home-cooked food, and introduce simple mathematics as you weigh and count the ingredients out.Sunshine Toddler Tips: Broccoli Cheese Bites

Ingredients
1 broccoli, broken into florets
100g cheddar cheese
10 cheesy crackers, such as Ritz
1 free range egg

Method
• Pre-heat the oven to 180°C
• Weigh and count out your ingredients,involving your child in the process
• Spray a mini-muffin tin with olive oil spray
• Boil the broccoli florets in boiling water for 4 minutes
• Add the cooked broccoli, cheese, crackers and an egg into a food processor, blitzing until well combined
• Spoon the mixture into a mixing bowl, encouraging your child to give the mixture a final stir before spooning the mixture into theprepared muffin tin
• Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the mixture is fully cooked
• Allow to cool to room temperature and enjoy this healthy snack
