Autumn Materials
Bright and even blustery autumn days are the ideal time to explore the great outdoors. Whilst you’re out and about with your child, gather some fabulous autumn leaves, sticks, and conkers to create a beautiful collage. You can do this whilst on the school run or on the way to the park. Collage art allows your child to practice fine motor skills such as sticking, cutting and glueing.
Once your child has collected a colourful range of autumn materials set them up with an A3 sheet of card and some glue. You could even introduce some glitter or glitter glue for your child to experiment with!
Whilst sticking, chat about the colours, textures and sizes of the items you’ve found, and about nature and the seasons.
Leave your masterpiece out to dry and perhaps put up on the wall as decoration throughout the autumn.
